FAQ

FAQS:

How does it start?

An AIRHORN or WHISTLE or TOWER will signal the beginning of the event. We will proceed to charge a la Braveheart and let the flailing of laughter ensue.

How long will it last?

No one knows.  Well, it'll starts at noon, but believe me when I say swinging a pillow can take a lot out of you and so can a few goosedown thwaps to the face. So really San Jose, how long it lasts all depends on you.

Will it get out of hand?

Probably not, but that all depends on you.  This is our event.  When I say OUR I mean the beautiful playful citizens of the 10th largest city in the United States.  If you're coming to PLAY ... then tell all your friends and share the same vibe with them.  If you are coming to FIGHT ... then simply you are coming for the wrong reason.  We have good faith that San Jose's GOT THIS!

Why is it held on the Paseo at Camera 12 ?

Read History in The Story, but in short, it's the best spot to help contain all the feathers for clean up.

Should I wear a mask?

Feathers are fantastic, but it might be a good idea to wear a bandana to keep yourself from swallowing some Feathers of FURY. AGGGHHH!

Do I have to wear a costume?

Costumes are encouraged but not necessary. Come as you are.
The fun of San Jose's pillow fight is that people do dress up. It makes it much more fun for everyone. Its the first time I've ever seen Super Mario battle a Banana and would have lost if it wasnt for the .

Who Cleans up?

YOU DO. WE DO. (: This is the most fun of all! ;)
We've been blessed to have a community that plays responsibility. We will bring brooms, gloves, and "scoopers." Everyone does a little bit so no one does a lot. The City of San Jose has been fantastic support since day one. Groundwerx usually comes in after and polishes the playground for us.
